CRAI Heads For Development In China

Italian supermarket CRAI has announced plans to open four supermarkets in China before the 2008 Olympic Games.

Based in Milan, Italy, CRAI is a chain grocer which offers products at reasonable prices. CRAI says that these four stores will be opened in Beijing and Shanghai, respectively. CRAI plans to invest EU9 million in the first stage of its expansion in China.

This cooperation between CRAI and its Chinese partners has won the support of several large companies including food and wine manufacturers Consorzio Grana Padano, Cavit and Conserve Italia.
